REFUSE & RECYCLING
Trash is picked up by Stokes Disposal Services every Tuesday morning. Recycling is picked up by the County every other Wednesday. Please keep in mind that holidays and severe weather events may affect this schedule. VPPSA provides recycling bins, but residents are required to provide their own trash cans. Trash and recycling should not be put at the curb until the morning of collection. All garbage must be placed in covered trash containers or in tied, heavy-duty bags. All trash cans and recycle bins are to be removed from sidewalks or paved areas in front of each lot and placed at the rear of your unit within twenty-four (24) hours of being collected. All trash receptacles must be clearly marked with the unit number (stickers are fine). Failure to follow any of the above regulations may result in fines.

Please note that pickup of bulky items must be arranged separately through James City County.
Bulk items that are left on the curb without prior pickup arrangements will result in a fine.
